2:00 PM: The IAF retaliated to continuing rocket fire by targeting seven terror sites in the southern Gaza Strip.

“Since yesterday we have seen a substantial deterioration in the safety of the residents in southern Israel,” , IDF Spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner said.”We have responded and will continue to do so in order to eliminate threats as they develop. This is our obligation and responsibility to those exposed to Gaza terrorism.”
11:00AM: Terrorists fired several rockets at populated areas in Ashdod and Ashkelon.
9:00AM: Terrorists continued yesterday’s attacks, firing four rockets at Israel.
WEDNESDAY MARCH 12
Moments after the first rocket attacks, “Code Red” sirens sounded in Israeli communities, where children were heading home from school. The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted three of the rockets.

The IDF responded to the attacks in the evening, hitting two terror locations in the northern and southern Gaza Strip with artillery fire. A short time later, IDF aircraft struck more than 29 terror sites in Gaza.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad was behind Wednesday’s rocket attacks. However, Hamas is responsible for all attacks emanating from the Gaza Strip.
Since the start of 2014, Gaza terrorists have fired more than 100 rockets at Israel. Yesterday’s rocket fire is the largest attack against Israeli civilians since Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012. The IDF will do everything in its power to fight Gaza terrorism and protect the people of Israel.
What “Non-Violent” Palestinian Protests Really Look Like
In this video, an IDF officer explains to Palestinian demonstrators that they have the right to protest peacefully, but asks them not to use violence against Israeli troops. Their only response is to throw rocks in an attempt to injure or kill IDF soldiers.
