UNE NOUVELLE VICTOIRE POUR POUTINE : LE GAZODUC « SOUTH-STREAM POUR ALIMENTER L’EUROPE !

La Russie et l’Autriche,
viennent de signer l’accord pour le projet du gazoduc South Stream.
Ce projet, datant de 2007, a été conçu pour contourner l’Ukraine, le pays subissant l’influence américano-européenne (les « révolutions orange », coup d’Etat de 2014). C’est donc un véritable camouflet pour l’UE de voir un des pays membre signer cet accord, et une victoire notable de V. Poutine.

Pour rappel, les livraisons de gaz à l’UE proviennent pour moitié de la Russie et les deux tiers de celles-ci transitent par l’Ukraine.

On notera l’importance géographique de la Crimée dans le cadre du projet South Stream.

Gazprom, Austria’s OMV sign final South Stream deal –

Russia’s Gazprom finalised a deal on Tuesday to build a branch of its controversial South Stream gas pipeline to Austria, in the face of EU opposition to the project.The signing of the agreement by the chief executives of Gazprom and Austrian oil and gas group OMV
took place in Vienna
as Russian President Vladimir Putin flew in to the Austrian capital
for a one-day working visit.

South Stream, which will cost an estimated $40 billion, is designed to carry Russian gas to the centre of Europe, a continent already dependent on Russia for a third of its gas needs, on a route that bypasses current transit country Ukraine.

« This investment decision is an investment into the security of the gas supply for Europe, » OMV CEO Gerhard Roiss told a news conference after the signing.
